No, we are not talking about your work diary engagements we are talking about getting married engagements.
Christmas is definitely the season for couples to fall in love and get engaged!
It must be because of the long holidays and the time couples get to spend together either by themselves or with friends and family relaxing and just enjoying themselves.
It’s the time of the year we are all connected with love.
In some parts of the world it’s the romance of the summer holiday whilst in other parts of the world it’s the time you spend indoors together snuggling around the big open fire.
Because the Christmas holidays are so well known as the engagement months the jewellery stores spend lots of money on the internet, magazines, and television on advertising campaigns showing off their beautiful diamond and precious stone rings alongside all of the other Christmas gift ideas.
Christmas really is the perfect time to get engaged as all the decorations are around and all the parties are happening so you can go and personally tell all of your friends the happy news in person.
Can you think of the best way to ask your partner to marry you over the festive season?
Here is a few crazy ideas from us… how about you dress up as Santa and arrive at your partners house with an early Christmas gift?
A pretty obvious one is wrap up a few big boxes and put the ring in a small box in the middle of them all? No… that would be so frustrating – cancel that idea.
How about you go snorkelling and you find a ring in a bottle on the ocean floor and funny enough it has a card with it with your name on it asking you to marry him/her?
What a about a private hot air balloon ride for just the two of you (and the pilot of course)
How about a helicopter ride to a solitary sand cay on the middle of the Great Barrier Reef where a picnic has been set up with a bottle of bubbles and flowers and a waiter?
Wow, we could really have some fun helping you out with that perfect Christmas engagement idea so if you need some inspiration you can call the team at Register Your Wedding and they will be more than happy to come up with the perfect plan to suit you and your partner
Merry Christmas and congratulations from all the team at Register Your Wedding and remember ‘we are all connected with love’ – xoxoxo

We have been invited to attend a destination wedding in Port Douglas Queensland Australia and have not got a clue what to get the happy couple as a gift for their wedding day as they have not as yet set up a gift registry.
We do not want to take a gift on the airplane all the way to Cairns for them to have to arrange to get it back to their home in Melbourne what on earth can we do?
Just send them a link to www.registeryourwedding.com.au and let them know they can plan their whole destination wedding on the one website and also communicate with family and friends about the pre-post activities and the final detail of the wedding day ceremony inside their secure website pages.
The happy couple can also set up a gift registry where they can choose for guests to either make deposits of cash into their bank account, buy gifts from a particular retail store where they have the selected gifts sitting in the gift registry, or they can ask for the guests to buy some of their honeymoon activities and accommodation on line. They can choose all three gift giving options should they wish to do so!
If they have not chosen to set up a gift registry and instead ask for your presence as their present and you still want to give them a nice gift then why not give them a beautifully printed Gift Voucher that you can nominate a dollar value for them to purchase some accommodation, a tour or an activity in the Cairns and Port Douglas region for their honeymoon, they will be so appreciative of your generosity and thoughtfulness.

Register Your Wedding has just listed the cutest little beach house in Cairns for their couples weddings and its books are currently now open and ready to take bookings for 2015 hooray!
This beach house is located on a residential island only 10 minutes’ drive from Cairns City on Redden Island at Machans Beach. This suburb is serviced by local buses and has 1 bar and 2 great little restaurants for those days when you do not feel like cooking your own barbeque on the beach under the moonlight.
The beach house is fully air-conditioned and has 3 bedrooms two of those with their own wall mounted televisions and the master bedroom with sliding doors leading you straight onto the beach.
Mostly all of the kitchen appliances are brand new so when the caterers come in they can get straight to work putting together the canapés and buffet reception. The barbeque outside is a big Webber so they can place some beautiful fresh seafood on here to enjoy out on the beach side dining table.
Bedding configuration is one king size bedroom, one double bedroom and one single bedroom, one bathroom and 2 toilets.
Couple may choose to set up a marquee on the lovely lawn just inside the gates of the holiday house as it is very spacious and picturesque there under the palm trees or you may want to put a wedding arbour out on the beach with some fire torches and have a moonlit wedding.
The real beauty of this little beach houses location is that the island is home to only around 18 residences and not many people populate this beach so your wedding day should be relatively nice and private
Machans Beach has a local convenience store, petrol station, post office, 2 restaurants, 1 local bar, sports facilities, tennis court, basketball court and a brand new boat ramp for those guests that wish to bring their boat along for some pre-post wedding activities

Please Note: for all holiday house rentals “Strict Noise Restrictions Apply” and all breakages or items missing will need to be paid for during or after departure.
